Do not play music on your website. I should say that in the first years of the Internet development many webmasters often try to create a successful integration of music into their websites. But these attempts appeared to be completely worthless as you can see. So you’d better refuse of using music. Moreover you don’t know whether your visitors like your music or not. If you aren’t assured then you’d better stay away from it.
If you need to play a sound file, then you should let your users play it by them selves. In fact in some situations audio files can be really required. May be you need to tell a few words your users or something like this. But don’t forget that it’s up to your user to decide whether he should press the play button or not.
Make sure that you have inserted your contact information on the website. In principle, there is nothing wrong if the site doesn’t provide users with contact information but at the same time there is nothing bad for users to know something about you. You might lose your important feedback in this way. In fact it’s not advisable for you to ignore this feedback because you need to establish contacts with your audience.
Avoid complicated URL structure. On the contrary your URL should be simple, based on keywords. In fact an appropriate URL structure can improve your ranking in search engines. Moreover thank to this your users will have no difficulties with identifying the content of a particular page, even before the transition to it.
And finally I’d like to tell you a few words about the internal structure of your website. Use CSS instead of HTML. I should say that initially HTML is used for making layout of web pages. With the advent of CSS, however, there’s no reason to adhere to this method any more. From my point of view CSS is faster and more reliable and it offers much more possibilities for webmasters. I advise you to apply everything mentioned above on your website and correspondently you’ll gain benefits.
