I’m always amazed at the number of different ways to make money online there really are today. Many times this is presented in a positive light when in reality that is probably not true. Here is why I say that.

1. Having so many different ways to choose from gets to be a little overwhelming. This is especially true for people who are just starting out and researching Internet income opportunities.

I don’t know about you, but when I spend a couple hours surfing on the Internet I really do not remember much about the various sites I was on. The exception to that might be if I bookmarked a site or subscribe to a newsletter or something.

This is one problem that not having a clear-cut idea what you are looking for can cause you. However this is a fact of life because most people have never used the Internet to try and make money.

2. As long as we are being honest we might as well bring up another problem you will face. Making money on the Internet is extremely easy to get started with.

You can join many programs such as affiliate marketing, get paid to programs, and so on and never spend anything to get started. This makes it very easy to lose focus and jump from one opportunity to another.

You see this happen all the time with affiliate marketers. They join an opportunity for free and began to promote the banners the affiliate merchant gave them.

After a couple of days when they are not making any sales they begin to look at other affiliate programs. They find one that looks interesting and join it as well.

They repeat the process and began to promote their affiliate banner waiting for the money roll in. In a few days when they haven’t made any sales on this program they begin to look at another one.

This goes on and on until they eventually make some money and learn how to become an affiliate marketer. Or they give up altogether and become another Internet marketing casualty.

3. One final point to bring out is you must be cautious about the ways you go about making money online. There are plenty of people who are more than happy to take your money and provide a poor opportunity or product.

Some will take your money and never provide anything in return. Depending on your pocketbook you may not be able to afford too many of these type of circumstances.

Getting scammed online is no fun and it is expensive as well.
