Don’t buy tons of money making products 
Can you guess the number of offers I receive by email daily? I not talking about these scam “make money in 3 seconds yesterday” kind of offer, what is the number of decent offers, from marketers I trust or have bought from before.
Well, I have counted them during the last week – in average 24 (!) – 24 new Internet marketing product offers everyday and you know what – this is after cancelling my email subscriptions of the not-so-good marketers.
Another interesting fact about these new money making products is that most of them are offering discounted and/or high valued products via special offers called “WSO”s Now, if you follow my blog (this blog…) regularly ,you probably read my “Best WSO” category in which I have explained what these WSOs are all about and why these are the best offers you can find online.
Getting to the point of this post as titled, please note that however good the offers are – you shouldn’t jump and buy each and everyone of them.
Let me explain by giving you an example – yesterday I have received an email from a marketer I appreciate very much offering me “9 products for 9$” – I have check this offer, as I check many of them (cannot check 24 offers a day…) and it seems to be a good offer, products look impressive covering many important updated subjects of making money online, the price is REALLY great – 9 Dollars for the whole package (ah yes, there is also a free bonus…).
An offer like this sold as an WSO is usually a high quality offer, mainly because the seller needs to keep his good reputation at this arena if he ever wants to sell there again. (BTW – if you insist…. the link to this offer can be found at the bottom of this post…).
So, having said that, you surly think I bought this offer, right? wrong! I didn’t.
Why? because in order to make money online you need to take actions which are not only buying products online. you will NOT EARN MONEY by buying stuff…. (the person who sells these product will make money, this is for sure).
Have I gone mad? recommending good products in my book and blog and then tell people not to buy anything? well, this is not the point and no I haven’t gone mad – I am simply trying to show you what and when to buy a “money making” product online -
Here are Ido’s rules for buying Internet marketing products or services:
- Stick to your plan – do not lose focus. do not change your plan every time you read a great report on how to make money online in a different way. stick to your way until you reach success or until you have decided to abandon it.
- Stick to your budget – do not overspend and never spend money on promises for a quick, easy, fool proof way to make money …
- Only buy products which will help you fill in the gaps of your plan – example: your plan is based on building a niche blog using WordPress (BTW – a most recommended plan) – invest in good plugins, a nice theme, maybe a backlinks service or even in high quality content for your blog. these products will assist you in developing the blog and make money from it. Now, if this is your plan, do not buy a product for building Facebook pages… even if it is great and even if it costs only 5$ (see next rule to understand why)
- Buy relevant products - every new product you get, which is not related to your plan, makes you lose focus, you will find yourself doing a lot of things, learning many new subjects but none of them leads you to success because you always stay at the “Newbie” level on everything.
- Buy one product at a time! and don’t buy another on until you have fully used/read/implemented the first product. otherwise you will find yourself reading only parts of books, setting up only parts of software or plugins and basically never completing your tasks.
- Understand the product, if you can do it before you buy – that’s great (and usually not an easy job). bought a book – read it all before you take action. bought a plugin for your blog – read the manual and install it and follow setup instructions fully etc.
- Do not be afraid of mistakes – many of the products you will buy will disappoint you…I’m sorry but this is the bitter truth – but, if you follow the rules above and stick to your plan the next product you will use will probably be a better one…
- Crappy product? a scam? – ask for a refund!
- Great product? good value? – recommend it or promote it as an affiliate…
Bottom line, be a smart shopper even if you are really eager to make money online and never ever underestimate the value of 5 Dollars….because you will quickly find yourself with hundreds of dollars spent on “real cheap” offers.
